Plitvice National Park Croatia

Plitvice National Park feels like nature showing off and honestly, we loved every second of it. Think cascading waterfalls, crystal-clear turquoise lakes, wooden boardwalks weaving over water so clear it barely looks real, and lush greenery in every direction. It’s playful, magical, and slightly unreal, like you’ve wandered into a fantasy world where the water is always the main character.

Walking through the park is a choose-your-own-adventure of jaw dropping views. Every turn brings another waterfall, another reflection, another wait ..is this real? moment. The sound of rushing water follows you the entire way, and somehow it never gets old. It’s peaceful and exciting at the same time, the kind of place where you lose track of time because you’re too busy staring.

To make it even better, we stayed just outside the park at an Airbnb called House River in Korana and it was so cute. Right outside was a clear, cool stream where we swam, played, and cooled off after exploring the park. It was our own little slice of Plitvice without the crowds. Again, we got lucky with our warm fall weather. It was very meant to be!

Plitvice is the kind of place that reminds you how fun nature can be. A little adventure, a lot of beauty, and water everywhere.
